It got almost to 60 f here in Montana. But wind was excruciating. Made it feel a whole lot colder. No snow! We’ll be hurting come summer. Water will be scarce for watering yard and fields.
One of my best memories is of walking to school with my girlfriend (later to be my wife) along a long fence line full of blooming honeysuckle. I think of that even at times when there is eight inches of snow on the ground. I hope I never lose it.
I’m pretty sure there’s no snow on the ground in NJ right now. Current temperatures are 31° to 38°F. If they live in the southernmost part of the state, Fang’s temperature estimate would be right if he’s using °C.
I am blessed to live in a moderate Mediterranean climate on the California coast. After a day of light rain and cooler temperatures, sunshine returned with 70 degree weather. I then like to greet people with “Sure am glad that winter is over – couldn’t have taken much more.”
Of course, there is a high price, which I gladly pay.
