Apparently Joey doesn’t understand what “National” in the name “Texas National Guard” means. He doesn’t understand the idea that the Texas National Guard is part of the US Military and can be called up by the President at any time
Evidently, this Administration, representing the Democrat Party, doesn’t understand nor honor the Guarantee Clause of the Constitution (look it up). Neither does this Administration, nor the Democrat Party, pay mind to the Tenth Amendment, which says the “powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
We are a nation of 50 states, a federation of sovereign states: a republic. Mess with Texas you mess with all of us. So far there are 25 states who side with Texas. Is a constitutional amendment required to put Biden, the Feds, and the Democrats in their place? That could be arranged. Just the campaign to adopt one will be enough to bring down the Biden dictatorship.
Neither do a lot of people in Washington when one party fails to hold up their side of a bargain, in this case, the part of the Constitution that says to provide for the National Defense, you know Article 1 Section 8, don’t think others might feel the need to do something.
Bush Jr., formerly the governor of TX, sent National Guard members to Iraq and Afghanistan. So much for “One weekend a month, two weeks a year”. Now the National Guard has a HUGE recruiting problem.
Evidently, this Abbott character, representing the state of Texas, refuses to accept the vows of loyalty to the U.S. made by his predecessors. The ‘Independence’ of Texas is voluntarily bound in the United States of America, not any on it’s own.

Texas begged to come into the Union so they didn’t have to pay off their national debts after they got their freedom from Mexico.

From all appearances “Texas Independence” is primarily for a limited group of Texan’s.

Arrogant Abbott wants to shoot people.
Trump told republicans not to settle the border issue so it will remain a big stinking sore for lying traitor Trump.

Texas is not an independent country. It’s a state in the union and has to follow federal law. Does the idiot who writes this toon not realize that?

Such awesome display(s) of the Kroger-Dunning effect by the MAGA crowd. Forecasts predict a year full of such displays.

Evidently, Joey doesn’t understand how Governor Abbott is misusing the Guard, and how the Texas Guard is obeying illegal orders.

Texas, just secede. It worked so good the last time! And you will not be missed.
