Ice-o-types?
Water you talking about?
There’s an entire Wikipedia page devoted to how many Eskimo words there are for snow. (And, yes, I know that none of them call themselves “Eskimo”, but that is the title of the page.)
Snow, Frost, Sleet, and Hail are solidly ice-otopes.
Steam and water are not so solidly ice-otopes.
Somewhere in the world, some crazy dictator has read Kurt Vonnegt’s “Cat’s Cradle” and has his mad scientists working to create Ice-Nine.
Just to be precise, Steam, Water and Ice are not isotopes. They are different states of the the same compound.
Simple science people. Figure it out.
They may be from the same base but they require a lot of adjustments for the rest of us, depending on usage.
must be reading about “phase change”…!
Brilliance personified! Good job.
As a matter of fact…
Ice-omers, instead of Ice-otopes, would probably be closer to what they really are.
