Haha! So funny! Like she’s not going to be put in a catapult at day care as well.

I don’t believe they put catapults (see-saws) in playgrounds anymore.

Where do you live that you have drop-in daycare? Around here, you pretty much have to put the kid on a waiting list before they’re even born!

Where did Hammie even get a catapult?

Mom’s take all the fun out of growing up. I remember when we convinced my brother to be a paratrooper when we were playing army one time. We convinced him to jump off the shed with a bed sheet. It was great, except that we learned that the parachute wouldn’t open up in just 8 feet. We tried to get him to jump off the top of the barn but he wouldn’t do it.

In the collection DAD TO THE BONE, the cover art showed Darryl catapulting Zoe and Hammie (with helmets) onto a huge pile of cushions with his feet. They were loving it.

Wren is already in Preschool. It would make more sense to drop her off there rather than at a daycare. Wren is too old for daycare, anyway. If preschool wasn’t open that day, then maybe a babysitter or playgroup.

If Wren is in Preschool, Wanda and Darryl should’ve taken her there. Daycare is basically “Pre-preschool,” a way for working parents with babies to get that work-life balance. But once the baby reaches three, it’s time for preschool—no more Daycare.

September 10th, 2019 is right about when she started. She’s still in preschool as of August 24th, 2022.

And it may be a regional thing, but where I’m from, Daycare ends when preschool begins. If a child has to stay after school’s ended for the day due to the work hours of their parent(s), and not due to discipline or extracurriculars, it’s usually referred to as “after-school care.” “Daycare” implies that they’re still a little kid.

In that case the hell with epic.
