Maybe they should both shut up and let people who are under a century old decide how the future should proceed. Y’know, the ones who will actually live in it.
…oh, who am I kidding? Walt will outlive us all. He’ll just keep getting more and more decrepit as our grandchildren grow up and have offspring of their own.
Just think of all the stationary, calling cards, billing address changes, notifications to friends … who pays for all of that? Oh yea that’ll be part of the resolution … the city will raise taxes to pay for those one time changes … a tax that will never go away.
Is it me or is Walt’s bed changing size from panel to panel? In the first panel it looks like he’s sleeping on the right side of a king size bed, with Skeezix addressing him from the opposite corner. But then in panel two it’s shrunk down to barely a twin size, with Walt looking like a toddler at bedtime. Panel three it’s grown again. Or is the bedframe just twice as wide on the tail end as it is on the head?
Or is Jim just terrible at perspective and character placement?
Has anyone seen anything modern or trendy about Gasoline Alley? The garbage is picked by two guys with a mule cart and actually live in the dump. There seems to be a single mechanic who can’t fix anything.
another example of how “modern” society needs to go back to the basic needs of humans so we don’t spend all our time on stupid thinking. but I digress – we are already heading that way globally, so soon we will ALL be concerned about growing our own food, dealing with local situations, and day-to-day just getting by because the greenies and political financial gurus will have screwed up the whole earth with their ideas of Utopia

What we need is a town history museum that shows the Gasoline Name has too much history to do away with.
Besides,Pert once owned 90% of the town and HE apparently liked the name.
