Carlos, a long-time friend of mine originally from the Philippines, likes to say that he dresses like a comic strip character. He has a bunch of identical blue shirts!
Don’t they all wear the same clothes? Baldo always in the red/white jersey (other than his work uniform shirt) even when he is working on the car and is getting it covered in grease.
I looked up the word “Barato” and found - as I suspected I would, I just wanted to confirm it - that the word means “cheap, inexpensive, low-priced”…I suppose that can be read as “bargain”.
When I was working in an office when my kids were 11/13 we’d go to San Antonio to a consignment store in the wealthy part of town (Alamo Heights). Great selection of expensive suits in my size…$900 suits for $125. I realized suddenly the reason the selection was so good. Widows were bringing them in. Husbands that were my size….6 foot and overweight, all kicked the bucket. My daughter began calling it the “Dead-Men’s-Store”. Once Got a beautiful Oxxford custom suit for $100.
Unless I am going to work (which has not occurred now since January 2020 – work from home instead) or have a social event for which I need to dress up (husband’s niece’s first communion about 10 or so years ago was the last of same) or we have a reenactment to go to, I wear jeans and tee shirts – sweatshirt over tee if cold in house.
The tee shirts hang in color order in my closet. By the dim light coming through the heavy drapes I can pick out the one I want by checking where it is in the the assortment without seeing the shirt or its color. And I am definitely NOT one of those people who keep everything neat and organized. Same with my other shirts/blouses in the closet – all blue are together from light to dark, as are all purples, reds, black/greys, greens, beige etc.

Oh for heaven’s sake! If that isn’t just like a man. I can see my husband doing the same thing. Ok, I’ll wear the red one with the yellow flowers.

I like it. Do they only come in 2nd hand stores?

Saves you the trouble of having to choose what to wear daily, and a lot of time too.

I can relate. I’ve worn the same style of shirt for over half a century. You can get dressed in the dark.

Stop the presses. Papi buys all new shirts, but no one can tell which is new and which is old.

Well, to him they’re new . . .

I think it was Andy Rooney that said that a man will buy a suit, wear it until it falls apart, then go out and buy another suit just like it.

Reminds me of my military days. I wore fatigues (or whatever they were called after that) or blues. No thinking.
