I can agree with that. I ditched a friend because he had become too toxic. I do not regret rejecting him. I am better off without him!

I give everyone the respect that they deserve. Just being human starts you off with a positive value. You can go up or down from there based on what you do.

There are some people who live at the bottom of my respect bin. I will take no action to harm them. In fact. I would even go out of my way to help them if physical harm or a real injustice threatened them. However I do take delight when they are disgraced.

My wife has frequent medical issues and surgeries, but we don’t tell some well meaning friends. The compassion overload can be overwhelming.
