Just brush it off. Consider the source; she’s not worth a response or even any acknowledgment. You have a good idea. Harness that attitude and live this day as if it were to be your last. One day it will be……
I empathize so much with Brutus that the sight of that old bat gives me a nervous tic! But Brutus does have a knack for lobbing her hanging curve balls.
If that were my house, there would be a lot of discord! It isn’t likely I’d tolerate anyone coming into my house, and showing such disrespect toward me. I’m not worth putting on a pedestal, but, a lack of civility would ensure that person was promptly shown the door…I might even open it, first.

When Brutus enters a room his tummy is the first thing you see. And the same goes for me, even though I’ve lost weight.

Says the woman with the figure of a bowling pin.

I know I’m not supposed to punch a woman in the face, or anyone else for that matter, but I would at least consider it here.

Her hair is perfect in the 2nd panel. She certainly isn’t the Samantha kind of witch. She’s more like Endora.

Maybe Brutus should back into the room, so his stomach doesn’t enter it 5 minutes before he does! ☺️
I like his attitude, though! ☺️
Hysterical!

Mother Gargle, criticizing Brutus about his weight is the pot calling the kettle black. Svelte you aren’t.

My mother would say, Brutus isn’t fat, he’s just pleasantly plump.

Mother Gargle, why do you and Brutus hate each other?

Actually, that’s a modest jibe compared to past efforts!

Brutus, it’s not helping your born loser status if you keep trying to communicate in no-win conversations.

Poke it and die. (Not really, I just couldn’t help myself. I don’t like people poking with their fingers.)

Did Brutus eat all the groceries he bought yesterday? He looked slimmer yesterday.
