There is, of course, no original art to go with this one. But if you want to learn a bit more about Jimmy Carter and see some pics I took of his presidential library, here’s a link:
Ronald Reagan “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well fought lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it once was like in America when men were free.” (Teach Your Children well- Crosby Stills and Nash)
My favorite humorist, Art Buchwald, decided to forgo treatment for failing kidneys, and recounted his final months’ hospice experiences in his last book, “Too Soon to Say Goodbye.” (Carly Simon wrote a song especially for him with that title.) I have 20 of his books, mostly compilations of his newspaper columns. As features editor for my high school paper, I often tried imitate his style in short faux vignettes.
Good man, that Jimmy. Nobel Laureate. Naval officer (and academy grad). Successful businessman. Loving father and husband. Volunteer extraordinaire. Governor of Georgia. Oh, and president during an extremely tumultuous time in America, bringing us out of the Nixon era.

As recent trends and evidence show, Republicans hate real Christians, like Jimmy Carter.
They prefer ‘Christians’ who worship Republican Jesus.

What happened to you guys, anyways? Canuck here by the way, old enough to remember America’s reputation in the early 60’s.
