At our 14th year reunion (we didn’t do 15 because it conflicted with the school’s 25th), one guy showed up wearing exactly what he wore when we graduated in 1967: the essential blue jeans, cuffs rolled up, the white socks and black shoes- and his letter jacket. He had just written his finals for his medical specialty. He had been in med school all those 14 years!
It might make her 28, give or take. I took two years off before college, got a BA and two Masters degrees (required for my chosen line of work) and was still out and working by 29.

“Junior” is third year, and community college is generally two years.
