Or “When I was a kid/young/your age…”

Or “Remember when we…..”

When Ziggy becomes as old as Mr. P., will today be “the good old days” for him, too?

I look younger than I am & have all my life. I’m half amused and half annoyed when I get told when “you’re as I as I am” and when I ask how old they are it’s a good bit younger than I am. From things like losing weight being physically active, recovering from an injury etc. The worst was my last job at Walgreens. Despite my telling him over & over I was in my 60’s, he said I looked like I was in my 30’s (a bit of exaggeration on his part), so he treated me as if I was 30. Funny the kids who were in their 30’s weren’t expected to do as much as I was. That was when I decided to take early retirement as I was able to do.

Older man on park bench says to Ziggy, “When you get to be as old as I am you get to wear a 2 piece suit that actually comes with trousers with matching colors to the jacket. Have you ever heard of such a thing, as trousers?”

When you get to be as old as I am…you’ll get how funny this one is.

When you get to be as old as I am… What was I saying?

My mom is 95, her sentences usually start with, “If you get as old as I am…” or “What were we talking about?”

When I was younger, I didn’t talk about it much. :)

Not in my case, I am older and my body feels it. A couple of years I took a hard fall on cement, that really messed my body up, that did require surgery. Now I cannot do what I need.

Will he tell Ziggy to “get off his lawn”?
