What’s the fun in that?

“Why doesn’t he just buy a fish?”

That’s what you’d expect a fish to say.

I’m sure most of those I knew who sit by the river or lake with rods were really just looking for somewhere to be away from the other half and have a few cans of drink

After a bad day of fishing, a fisherman goes to the local fish market & buys 3 fish but asks the seller to toss the fish to him. The seller asks why toss them? The fisherman replies, "I may be bad at “’fishing, but I am no liar when i say I caught these fish ;-) .”

Fishing isn’t always about the catching.

Surf mantra “Give a man a fish and today he will feast…Teach a man to fish and he’ll starve.”

If you catch the fish you have to clean it and cook it. Too much of a mess, too much hassle, the only time it makes sense is if you’re out camping.

That’s what I do it’s called a fish fry

Because they’re sadists.

I think a lure has to move to work. He’s right about the guy not knowing what he’s doing. It could be Ralph or Norman from “Drabble” in the boat. They’re both idiots.

The universal question that’s asked by a lot of people who aren’t fishermen.

Well fishing is supposed to be about relaxation and patience. If you catch a fish you can keep that’s good or toss it back and let it live even better. But if you don’t catch one no biggie at least you got to relax and spend the time on the water in the fresh air.

It’s less about the destination, more about the journey.

My brother-in-law goes fishing in his open ocean boat. Fresh fish costs hundreds of dollars per pound.

Why don’t you volunteer to teach him how to fish?

Many men go fishing all of their lives without realizing it’s not the fish they’re after.

Give a man a fish; he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish; that’s a man who owes you some fish .
