Just because Winslow read it “somewhere” doesn’t mean squat!

He could have read it on the bottom of an outhouse in south west Montana!

It was a doozy. Slavery has been poisoning the well the whole time. The royalist streak of the Tories hasn’t helped either.

For a very expansive definition of “we” (seeing as how the actual ones responsible are long dead), “we” restricted ballot access.

See what comes of restricting competition for generations?

Well… studies have shown too much participation in elections is unhealthy. We got the best qualified candidates when the party insiders picked them at the conventions. Civil War hostilities didn’t finally end until it became rude to discuss politics at dinner. The primary system empowers the radical fringes of the parties.

I’m not the first person to make this point but it is worth repeating. You are not just voting for the primary candidate, but also the types of people that person would bring into office with them to fill out cabinet posts and to be advisors. You want those people to be dedicated to the principals of Democracy and upholding the Constitution at a minimum. Not people who are just slavishly loyal to a wannabe autocratic dictator. Given that choice between the two, Biden is the only choice, no matter his age.

True, also, FALSE EQUIVALENCY ALERT!!!…………..more important, one of Stanti’s biggest failings is he gives a platform to Ted Rall to straight out, Machiavelli-style, promote fall information. Multiple times Rall tried to sell the story that President Biden was tied deeply into Burisma bribery deals, and Stanti was right there as the friendly interviewer……………..Where are the two now that the chief witness to the matter has been proven to be a complete liar and is now jailed? Excellent podcast on this matter: Https://www.Nytimes.Com/2024/03/04/Podcasts/The-Daily/Fbi-Informant.Html

Oh for…. get over it. We got the ones we got. Go to the ballot box and pick the one that didn’t get indicted on 91 federal felony counts. The one that didn’t rape that lady and owes her $88,000,000. Pick the one that doesn’t owe the state of New York $500,000,000 because he ran a fraudulent business for decades. What is so friggin hard about that?

Half the country was convinced that the biggest threat is the other half of the country. So was the other half. They’re right.

The alternative should both candidates drop out or die would likely be Kamala Harris and Nikki Haley. Sleep well America

I hate We get the candidates/government we deserve!

Nobody who votes against candidates because of the party policies those candidates endorse deserves any of the negative outcomes of those policies if that party they do not agree with wins sufficient legislative seats to implement them.

    Full stop.

Trump said he’d pull federal funding from schools that had any vaccine requirements (not just COVID) and half the time seems to think he’s running against Barack Obama. But sure, Stantis, both sides are equally bad.

We have done two things that got us here. First, we have refused to live up to the ideals we claim to believe in. For example, we have not had one minute of “equal protection under the law” or “liberty and justice for all”.

Second, we have never valued life over profits. Honesty has never been valued more than advertising.
