Hey, fans, I met Berke Breathed today at Comic-Con! He signed my 20 year old Bill The Cat doll :-) Nice guy, for a cartoonist ;-)
I STILL remember being in college at the time, reading the Steve Dallas punchline to one of my professors and hearing “Oh, he’s going to get into a LOT of trouble for THIS strip…” Berk, ya GOTS ta have yer guilty pleasures, now, huh?
AHH, to be young and idealistic again. What happened to our youthful aspirations?

Did Opus ever find his youthful idealism?
“Breakbelching”; is that where you use jet propulsion to keep yourself spinning around on the floor?
And to think, today this would not only be televised, it would be popular.
^I hear it’s a replacement show for FOX this fall…
