Behind the chain saws?

Calvin should have just looked for them himself.

Here’s another question… What would a kid like you would want with an electric saw?

Time to drag out the BIG extension cord and the electric chainsaw, as a neighbor’s oak tree dropped a large branch in our yard.

Took Mom a beat to catch the flow. Cal caught her when she was concentrating on getting the seam right.

Dad stores the blades seperately from the saw? I suppose it depends on the saw but the majority of mine have the saw attached to them. The sawzall blade is often too long to keep on the motor when I put it away so that one I take off but the rest all have the saw installed.

Mom is many things, but she isn’t stupid.

Calvin made an amateur mistake. The key is to space out questions like this. It’s like those Dateline episodes where you see the murder suspect on surveillance footage buying everything he used to to dispose of the body during one Home Depot shopping trip.

Mom knows that anything to do with Calvin, extension cords, and electric saws cannot be good.

I remember the good ole days when an 8 year-old could borrow the electric saw without being questioned.

I just read that Watterson is only 65 years old, so he should be able to continue if he wants to.

That last panel, I know what that’s like sometimes…

Calvin and power tools or electrical tools cannot be put together, he gets in enough trouble without those, in his hands a toilet plunger can be lethal.

For 40 years I owned a Fireworks store & whenever a young lad would ask for rolls of fuse, Moms would always jump in with a “WHAT DO YOU NEED THAT FOR?!?”

I like the way the motion implies that Mom has jerked her head around.
