You should have let him know you were playing Fred…

Some people, and dogs, have absolutely no sense of humor at all. You meant no malice, but perhaps in the future you could learn to read your audience better before gently teasing them. Probably safer for you.

You don’t tweak some strange dog’s tail, Fred! Would you like your tail tweaked by a stranger, dog, human or cat?

He just wants Fred’s autograph.

Fred is so cute standing up against the wall. Don’t be afraid Fred, he won’t hurt you. It’s all show.

Some people (dogs) just have no sense of humor.

Learning a hard lesson today

He kept his sense of humor in his tail, but you seem to have tweaked it away.

I really can’t “like” this one. Mean-spirited “pranks” aren’t funny.

He lost it at the veterinarian… along with some other pieces parts.

You’re safe Fred. You have exposed your tummy. Under the rules of dog fighting one dog cannot attack another dog that submits by exposing its tummy. I had a very brave 20 pound puppy that stood up to a 135 pound German Shepherd by sitting back on its haunches and boxing the Shepard’s face and wasn’t hurt, and another Miniature Schnauzer that alternated between nipping at a 90 pound Labrador,then throwing itself on its back. He also wasn’t hurt.

Fred play dead and he will go away
