That stretch would help my back when it hurts. It’s a good day when there’s a new Snow Sez!

Wish I could stretch that much; I’m luckily if I can just lie flat.

I’d love to try that stretch, but I’d never be able to get back up again. LOL

Only in a warm environment. Otherwise, a closer connection with the laundry itself is preferred.

I’m glad you found a comfortable position to ease your back pain. I hope your human is understanding!

Cats have more verterbrae than we do. I always wince when I catch one of my cats sleeping in a position I can only describe as “fallen from a great height”. She’s perfectly happy, though.

Fortunately, cats rarely get back pain.

Having no collarbone, they cannot be yoked to carts.

When they fall, the extra vertebrae provide additional spring action to cushion the landing, which is why they automatically reorient in midair to land on their feet. I have seen video of a cat jumping from the top of a telephone pole and racing away.

Humans are the one who get back pain. Our upright posture has a lot of advantages for us through our reproductive years (the only years evolution cares about) but our tendency to gain weight and reduce exercise as we age leads to many, many back problems.
