I just decided today that I am going to offload my hobby, give it all away. A couple thousand dollars worth of building materials and kits ready to build. With 10 years of building I have flown 1 item 1 time. To use my hobby I have to drive 5 hours away spend a day, and then 5 hours back home. I just came to the conclusion it’s not going to happen. Time to dump it all.
I have a 3 year attention span for hobbies, I just finished 15 bird houses that I built and painted different scenes on, before that it was chickens, before that was scanning old pictures and the list goes on.
This is an ADHD trait which I share, I learned at 60, never diagnosed, too busy living in fight=or-flight mode. It’s not easy to leave that state but I’m getting there.
This would be me if I didn’t stop myself every time I get the urge to start a new hobby. If I can barely find the time to read a book, make some art, or play video games (current and only hobbies), then I don’t have the time to start a new one!
Also helps if you’re broke and can’t really afford to buy anything anyway LOL!

That was my late Wife. I still haven’t found all the yarn skeins she bought……

A friend went from scrapbooking to knitting to sewing to weaving back to knitting to quilting. And I’ve only known her for a dozen years or so.

The photography stuff documents all the other hobbies. That is always available.

My other half made a lot of women jealous, because she had 99% of her stuff in plastic bins that were LABELED!

All creative types do that. Believe me, I know.
