    I really hated that at my previous job. As I also sat behind a computer and only my hands moved and the sensor couldn’t see that, every 5 minutes, the light turned off. Luckily, not my computer.

    This is the configuration where I work, with a ten minute timer. There is, of course for security, one light that is always on. And that light happens to be right above my cubical. Nice.

    If the lights are from fluorescent strips, that really wouldn’t work. They use around an hour’s worth of electricity to start them up then not a lot to keep them lit.
