the old nose to the grindstone! I wonder how many young people have even seen a typewriter?

Be glad it isn’t an electric typewriter.

I used a manual portable Smith Corona for many, many years before getting my first PC like word processing device called the Brother Powernote. The Powernote only had a 10K memory so I was always storing stories to 31/2" floppies. Though I still have those old relics of word processing, my first true PC, a Compaq with Windows 98SE OS, was amazing with 10 gigs of memory. Now I use an old Gateway with 1 terabyte of HD.

This is a great excuse to stay in bed all day. I need to rest the little gray cells so I can write. Granted, comments on GoComics are pretty much all I write, but still…

Poor Snoopy…I know how he feels. That sometimes happens to me and my PC keyboard if I’m really tired.

What’s a typewriter?

Unless you are Peppermint Patty and you fall asleep at the schooldesk with a typewriter on the desk and this happens!

BTW, If anybody remembers Peter Jennings, who was the ABC News anchorman from 1983 to 2005, he admitted ⁄ bragged that he never learned touch typing and used hunt and peck method but he was very fast at it.

@OLD, The same happen to me earlier today (04.17.2024) I tried to give a kudos to Yakety for the excellent stories that he posts most days, and I noticed that “ posts with an ULR are not allowed “ I tried again and again since I didn’t had any ULR with my commentbut was not able to post So I just deleted it
