    Just how often was he paying a roofer to maintain it? What’s to maintain? And now he has a lot of weight and moist dirt up there, that WILL require maintenance.

    Have 3 microsheep up there. They need a herd (hence 3), are light enough for the roof, but keep the grass short and firm. Thus no rain or storm will rip the turf open, that’s why sheep are kept on levees (and not goats or cattle).

    Had a friend with an earth shelter home. The roof leaked from watering, didn’t even have to wait for a rain storm.
