Lynn’s Comments: When I was a child, I looked at many things as if they were animate objects. Drawer pulls, for example looked like smiles. A bathtub faucet and handles could look like a face with a long curved nose. A radio dial looked like a smile with many teeth. Houses, to me, had personalities, and some, like this one, even had a “face.”
Sometimes we see faces that aren’t really there. You may be looking at the front of a car or a burnt piece of toast when you notice a face-like pattern. This is called face pareidolia and is a mistake made by the brain’s face detection system.Pareidolia is a phenomenon wherein people perceive likenesses on random images—such as faces, animals, or objects on clouds and rock formations. It is not a clinical diagnosis nor is it a disorder. The brain has a tendency to assign meaning wherever it can.
They say you have a creative mind when you can look at something and see a picture. I can see faces when I look down on the tile floor in the bathroom. Better than reading a newspaper or magazine while dropping a load.

I used to see faces on radiators, fans, leaves, and houses. I still do.

I feel for April. Although the house may have eyes and nose, but yikes, the house’s 6 hearts are colored a COLD, COLD blue!

The bathroom floor, before H. Ian, had plenty of faces as well.

It is weird how many “faces” there are in a house. I still don’t know why Lynn felt this irritating child was necessary.

People are born with an instinct to find faces in their field of view. It’s a survival trait.

Some people are comforted by being watched over and some people are creeped out by it.

April’s mom wishes that they were truly watching her because that child can get into mischief in short order and she need’s all the help she can get.

For years the only one watching her was Farley, and he obviously can’t do that anymore, so I guess these are his replacements?

Babies are actually designed by Mother Nature to detect and recognize faces – they have to, in order to survive!
