I was in a busy Mexican American restaurant in Athens, Texas with my brother. The waitress came by every two minutes to tell us she would be back soon to take our order. This went on for 30 minutes.
My brother, who runs a restaurant in Dallas, finally went to the kitchen order window and ask them to hand him some chips and salsa, so we could snack while waiting.

They’re usually johnny on the spot to take the order. It’s getting them to bring the bill (and the credit card back) that’s hard.
