So much wrong here! (1) Clare trying to get a strange kid to participate in her scam, (2) the kid’s mom not paying attention to the fact that her kid is being propositioned by a stranger, and (3) the kid pretending to go along with the deal, then taking the $20 for himself. Then again, the mom may have overheard the conversation and decided to let her kid scam the scammer!
