okay. various juices (orange, peach, cran razz, and apple) buttered toast (whole wheat, multi grain, and rye. take your pick - and skip the butter if you don’t want any.) eggs, any style as long as it’s scrambled. (did you ever notice how scrambled eggs seem to go farther than eggs cooked other styles?) bacon, sausage, ham, or peameal bacon. nuclear coffee, and teas including earl grey, gunpowder, oolong, chai, and irish breakfast (light on the whiskey - it’s Sunday, after all).

Dry i take it you are talking about the covered bridge on the way to Ithaca from Horseheads? i’m glad you like it. i’ve been remiss in posting photos to share sites. i’ve decided to use photo bucket instead of picasa, but haven’t been on there to finish my first album, yet, (and it’s been weeks). Rmom posts photos there as well, and i haven’t even had the time to look at her latest ones yet. her sunsets are gorgeous. Carmy i use my cell alarm as well. i leave it on the dresser so i have to get up to turn it off and, once up, i rarely flop back down.

Back to the comic. In my chosen field of Master of Idleness, I have found putting a clock out of reach forces me to leave the comfort of my bed to turn it off. I’m up, dagnabit! Might as well go to work. Or I could call in, tell the boss that the train had a flat, go back to bed and dream of a land where alarm clocks were banned by the Third Planetary Convention.

Doc T It seems I can no longer laugh without it turning maniacal. But sometimes my laugh echoes in places that don’t usually echo. I get requests both to do and not to do it. It is a great way to get attention when you need it, and a great threat to cause teenagers to behave themselves in public!

Ah! Ha Ha Haa Haaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Grog–The Chicago Wolves & the Rockford Ice Hogs are playing today. It’s AHL not NHL, but it is a lot of fun and much more relaxed than a Blackhawks game. Less expensive too!. The Rockford team is the Blackhawks farm team.

Lonewolf it’s a great sport, especially when the emphasis is on playing to win rather than playing to “not lose” - which is what often happens at the higher pro levels. the minor pros, such as the Wolves, are more interested in making an impression on the scouts than they are in winning for it’s own sake, which leads to much more excitement and what i consider a “purer” form of the game.

Lonewolf, glad you enjoyed the game. But I have to disagree with yyyguy. At the minor league level they are all playing for their futures. At the major league level, they’ve already got the money in their pockets, only there are some more determined to win than others. The rest are either collecting pay checks or stats.

Boy two major accidents that closed down I-5 in one week. I won’t know until tomorrow, but there was a major back up that may have pushed people all the way back to the Canadian border. All Southbound lanes were blocked and traffic was directed to side roads. Combining this with Olympics traffic, there was a lot of traffic. Plus it was a gorgeous day so everybody was out. Coming down the canyon on our way home a charter bus, probably Olympics had missed the entry to the freeway and had tried to turn around in a subdivision hillside entrance and the back of the bus got hung up on the road way because the road was to steep for the length of the bus, so it was interesting getting home from town today with two mishaps. Fortunately, my wife noticed that traffic was at a standstill on the freeway and we didn’t attempt to get on it.

You know what, Dry I do remember those days, now that you mention it, from my teen years. Yes, they were among the best of TV Times. MTM is another big fav of mine as well as the Bob Newhart Show.

I have the full B.N. collection and have the last two years on M.T.M. to go, but they are available now for purchase.

Dry, do you remember Lou Grant. I wasn’t on for long, but it, too, was on on Monday nights. I loved that show.

    Oh my gosh! LOL! Story!

When I worked at KFC there was this couple who would steam up the windows of one of their cars, on the street outside the drive-thru window. One day one of my co-workers walked up to the car knocked on the window and asked “Whatcha doing?”

They must have changed their meeting place after that, because I don’t remember seeing them again.

I don’t know Grog! I’ve been around here for a while now. There are a few more idiots out there worse than Joe. You have to watch for them! They sneak up on you sometimes. And Joe is actually a very intelligent man from what I’ve seen. He may not always say things in the correct way, but he is no idiot. Sorry!

    Idiots At Work …

I was signing the receipt for my credit card purchase when the clerk noticed that I had never signed my name on the back of the credit card. She informed me that she could not complete the transaction unless the card was signed. When I asked why, she explained that it was necessary to compare the signature on the credit card with the signature I just signed on the receipt. So I signed the credit card in front of her. She carefully compared that signature to the one I signed on the receipt. As luck would have it, they matched.

Dry, he is obviously a very smart man. Perhaps too smart to appreciate the comics or posts of our fellow posters as we do. I have ignored him and at times enjoyed some of his posts. He can be funny when he sets his mind to that goal. Until today I have sat back on the sidelines until I became his target.

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told that the keys had been accidentally locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver’s side door. As I watched from the passenger’s side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered it was open.” Hey,” I announced to the technician, “It’s open!” “I know,” answered the young man.- “I already got that side.”

Calling the telecommunication company to inform them my phone didn’t work and that when I picked up the receiver its completely dead, the technician said from the other end “Are you calling from the number of the phone that does not work?”

Grog He has mentioned in the past that he has a brain injury. You have to cut him some slack, well, you don’t have to, but it would be nice if you tried. Just ignore him, as others have said. This is a place to have fun, not to nit pik and when Joe does that, just walk away! That’s what I do. None of us own this website, the gocomics people do, and if this crab doesn’t stop, they’ll just shut it down, at least the commenting section, and certain people have been warned before about going after Joe, from THE POWERS THAT BE!
