Good morning all. Dry can I get 2 over easy, bacon, sausage, grits, and toast with strawberry preserves or honey. I have my own Cokey Cola as per usual. I’ll probably have to cut back on some of this stuff after I visit my doctor today or tomorrow and find out the results of my blood work. I might find out what the deal is with my back too as the MRI results are in. I mentioned to some of my friends that the noises the MRI machine made would be a pretty good rhythm line for a techno-industrial song. “It has a good beat, and I could dance to it, so I gave it a 78.”
Good morning, tribe!
I can’t spend time this morning under the BT, but hopefully this evening. Beautiful weather is forecasted for today - not quite shorts weather, but at least maybe no jacket needed during the afternoon.
Cleo - No worries. I don’t always notice when people don’t respond, unless I’ve asked them a question. For example, my hubby & I are going to meet a group at a restaurant that we’ve never met before (just on-line). He described us this way: “She will be talking and I will be pretending to be listening.”
Good morning Carmy, Rmom, Doc, Grog, MisngNOLA, lewreader and Akenta! Looks like spring here today! 34 degrees now, but it’s supposed to warm up. Don’t really mind that, the sun is bright and skies are clear, and the birds are SINGING!
Cleo YES SIR! There is a small dusting on the tops of the mountains, and some spots here and there on the ground, but for the most part, its’s gone. Of course, it’s only early March, we’ve had crippling snowstorms in March already.
I used to like my accounting classes. Then they added all these tax things and other stuff to make it even more complicated. I realized that the things that made it complicated would be subject to change frequently. Yuck!!

Good Morning, all you yappy persons of the crazy types out there!
That odd bright…whosis…is also here in the sky today, and above freezing–so we will have some melting, Which means slicker spots once it freezes again tonight. And gingerly walking along even during the day whenever there’s snow or ice underfoot.
It will take more than a day or two to get rid of the accumulation of white stuff.
I am an INFP, borderline INTP, particularly strong on I and N. So, I get energy be being by myself, thinking up things (or reading, and so on), and like to remember things by seeing the patterns. Hence a comment I made recently, over at Pibgorn I believe: I only remember details when they are relevant at the time.
Even how I remembered it was at Pibgorn is telling: the comment was in regard to a story plot–which I had correct–but I could not remember title, author, or where I’d read it. But the plot was related to the events there, so that was where I must have made the comment.
Finest moment as an INTP: I was eating breakfast with another INTP, a Math professor, when he remembered a problem he’d seen in a math journal. He could not remember the problem, or even the answer, but only the form of the answer, which was enough information for us to work backwards to the problem and solution. Hello, Bunnyface. Thanks for sharing. I think I saw (and agreed with) your comments a little while back over at “Calvin & Hobbes”. Johanan, of course disagrees.

@Grog, yes, well, he’s insisting that Calvin is ENFP based on the interpretation of what makes an ENFP tick vs. an INFP. I’m calling it as I sees it: Calvin has few, if any friends, prefers to be by himself, where his imagination can run wild, does not have loads of others he must be with, making telephone calls or chatting, and so on. Introvert, not Extravert.

@Tabby, all of us need a break occasionally–just be sure that the break does not get away from you. Take an hour to walk in the sun with a friend. A twenty minute nap. Or read something fun for half an hour.
Then, when you get back to work, start with something that will only take a short time, even if it’s just one step in a bigger project. Like, instead of writing a paper, figure out what the topic sentence will be. Or figure out how to do one type of math problem. That way you start with the feeling of having accomplished something.
I have tested as E/INFJ 4 times. The first time I took the test I was amazed at how accurately the descriptions fit me. Especially the being energized/depleted by being around people.
I never really clicked with a description of my type as others have–especially one ENFP I know–until I read about the INFP as described in Sixteen Men (I think by Loren Pederson)–since the type is pretty rare to start with, and because it is “opposite” every masculine stereotype there is, it presents special challenges for those who live it.
Cleo, I got both vehicles checked out and rescheduled for repairs next week. And I also got a referral for another checkout tomorrow. I hope that is a good indication that business is looking up! (fingers crossed)
: ) Doc T - I left a message for you at Fort Knox. Have a good and pleasant evening. You should have made Krewd clean out your gutters for you. Say Hi to Gma T.
Cleo I wish I had your dedication. I like walking, but I imagine I hear snakes and jump into the road. Not good, when a car is coming. Plus those startles aren’t very relaxing.
LuvH8 carry a stick or hiking poles. I hike in some remote places and always mean to do the same thing, but never remember. We don’t have poisonous snakes, but we do have cougars, although in all my years of hiking I have never seen one. All I have ever seen are deer and marmots.
Cleo, we don’t have poisonous snakes either. Mostly racers (which is the only kind of non-poisonous snake that does not have a poisonous look alike), I have a phobia.
I am not a big snake lover and we get plenty of small garden snakes during the year. Since I am not exactly wearing much, I always feel a bit vulnerable. LOL
Good evening, tribe!
Let’s see, I took the on-line test and came out an ESTJ. But bunny’s prayers make me think I must have multiple personalities (which my husband used to accuse me of having when we first married.) Here’s the prayers that fit me pretty well.
ISTJ: Lord, help me to relax about insignificant details beginning tomorrow at 11:41:23 a.m. E.S.T.
ISTP: God, help me to consider people’s feelings, even if most of them ARE hypersensitive.
ESTJ: God, help me to not try to RUN everything. But, if You need some help, just ask.
ISFJ: Lord, help me to be more laid back and help me to do it EXACTLY right.
INFJ: Lord, help me not to be a perfectionist. (Did I spell that correctly?)
INTJ: Lord, keep me open to others ideas, wrong though they may be.
INTP: Lord, help me to be less independent, but let me do it my way.
ENTP: Lord, help me follow established procedures today. On second thought, I’ll settle for a few minutes.
Ah! they didn’t offer us that option. After I saw what I had typed I just went ahead and posted.
Lonewolf - I saw that, I didn’t want Grog to miss out on any of the fun. I really was sitting in the library and had to bite my hand to keep from having a laughing fit.
I noticed that a few people were curious. It must be the ISTJ in me that had an impact on my curiosity. And I’m certainly not curious about plumpers in “art” films. I just won’t buy that - although I’m sure there’s a certain segment of the population that would be into that stuff.
Grog are you talking about ‘fluffers’? (I think that is the term). I was just so shocked.
A lot of people seem curious about their personality types too. There’s a debate @Adam, I didn’t really read it. I am getting better at scrolling past one commenter. Now I have two to scroll past it actually makes it easier because I get a lot more practice.
I wasn’t that shocked, LuvH8. You wouldn’t see that if there wasn’t a market for it. I’m sure if you went to one of those web sites that specialized in the sale of such merchandise, you might find things you never knew existed.
It was the fact that Shikamoo”s comment was the one that sent me looking that shocked me. It was almost as if Bunnyface had sent us all on that little journey of discovery. (Okay, it probably shouldn’t have shocked me.)
LuvH8 - I got home a little later than normal from Mom’s house. Stopped at the funeral home to see if there was a visitation for the lady who died this week, and spent time chatting with the funeral director. (He handled my parents’ funerals, and we found that he has some same interests, so it was a good conversation.) Then I stopped by a couple of stores to buy some groceries. Now, cooking supper for a son, and making marshmallow treats.
The computers at the library are faster. Which is really good for reading back comics.
Lonewolf I don’t think I will change my identity. Probably I am unique enough people would recognize me. Also what if someone took up the name LuvH8 while I wasn’t using it?
You don’t want to clean up the mess your son makes in the kitchen? Grocery shopping would be more fun if they didn’t get mad when you speed walk your cart through the whole store.
LuvH8, couldn’t you keep your existing account and create a new one? Since you didn’t pay for genius, it won’t cost you anything. I know at least 1 person here with 2 handles. While those accounts are active, someone could come up with a similar name, but not the exact name. I remember seeing someone who for a short time used BC14, I assume because he couldn’t try to use my handle. Then there was a time when someone tried to immitate JAD. That didn’t work either.
Well I could I suppose. I was just thinking my name is fairly well known now. Maybe I’ll make one to keep in reserve, I don’t know who has double or triple identities. H8 to guess wrong. But I am such a terrible liar I am sure I would not be able to not be recognized.
I keep thinking that the new cohorts of she-who-must-not-be-named are her or know her. Somehow I usually picture 13 year old boys. Wow! did I get a reaction from asking about multiple identities.
LuvH8 - If I didn’t cook for my sons, they just fill up on chips and crackers. I used to be able to speed walk, but that isn’t as easy as it used to be. Thankfully, neither place was crowded, so pretty quick.
I noticed that LoneWolf too, and realized it wasn’t you, Lonewolf when I saw you at one of your usual comic pages. I think there are also a couple Puddleglum’s as well, ending in different numbers.
Cleo you could add Booker as your last name for a while.
Yeah, I am sure I would mess it up if I tried ti handle two or more identities. And I know some people might be concerned if I disappeared, and that seems rather iconsiderate. I start to worry when I notice people not posting.
Just read some of the previous posts on here. Seems to be a few fringes running around the gocomics board. What a pity, but * I think most of us have them figured out.*
Turkeys CAN fly - at least the wild ones can. We have one that visits regularly and flies into the trees. But the frozen ones can’t - they land with a bang and the domesticated ones are probably too flat. I would use the word from BirdBrains but then those who hadn’t already might Google it.
Guess everyone is gone…
Dawn, I’m just waiting for the turnover as Wolfangil & I are watching our program. A few toons and then off to the horizontal position. Long day tomorrow.

Something from a Meyers Briggs survey I did a number of years ago that classifies people by their tendancies
E vs I extrovert vs introvert N vs S intuitive vs sensory F vs T Feeler vs Thinker P vs J Perceiver vs Judger
I am an ISTJ, the exact oposite of ENFP. ISTJ’s make good accountants.

LuvH8 carry a stick or hiking poles. I hike in some remote places and always mean to do the same thing, but never remember. We don’t have poisonous snakes, but we do have cougars, although in all my years of hiking I have never seen one. All I have ever seen are deer and marmots.

Lonewolf - I saw that, I didn’t want Grog to miss out on any of the fun. I really was sitting in the library and had to bite my hand to keep from having a laughing fit.
GROG Premium Member over 14 years ago
I noticed that a few people were curious. It must be the ISTJ in me that had an impact on my curiosity. And I’m certainly not curious about plumpers in “art” films. I just won’t buy that - although I’m sure there’s a certain segment of the population that would be into that stuff.

GROG Premium Member over 14 years ago
I wasn’t that shocked, LuvH8. You wouldn’t see that if there wasn’t a market for it. I’m sure if you went to one of those web sites that specialized in the sale of such merchandise, you might find things you never knew existed.
GROG Premium Member over 14 years ago

Ooops! Premium Member over 14 years ago
It was the fact that Shikamoo”s comment was the one that sent me looking that shocked me. It was almost as if Bunnyface had sent us all on that little journey of discovery. (Okay, it probably shouldn’t have shocked me.)

Smiley Rmom over 14 years ago
LuvH8 - I got home a little later than normal from Mom’s house. Stopped at the funeral home to see if there was a visitation for the lady who died this week, and spent time chatting with the funeral director. (He handled my parents’ funerals, and we found that he has some same interests, so it was a good conversation.) Then I stopped by a couple of stores to buy some groceries. Now, cooking supper for a son, and making marshmallow treats.
Ooops! Premium Member over 14 years ago
The computers at the library are faster. Which is really good for reading back comics.
Lonewolf I don’t think I will change my identity. Probably I am unique enough people would recognize me. Also what if someone took up the name LuvH8 while I wasn’t using it?
Ooops! Premium Member over 14 years ago
You don’t want to clean up the mess your son makes in the kitchen? Grocery shopping would be more fun if they didn’t get mad when you speed walk your cart through the whole store.
GROG Premium Member over 14 years ago
LuvH8, couldn’t you keep your existing account and create a new one? Since you didn’t pay for genius, it won’t cost you anything. I know at least 1 person here with 2 handles. While those accounts are active, someone could come up with a similar name, but not the exact name. I remember seeing someone who for a short time used BC14, I assume because he couldn’t try to use my handle. Then there was a time when someone tried to immitate JAD. That didn’t work either.
Ooops! Premium Member over 14 years ago
Well I could I suppose. I was just thinking my name is fairly well known now. Maybe I’ll make one to keep in reserve, I don’t know who has double or triple identities. H8 to guess wrong. But I am such a terrible liar I am sure I would not be able to not be recognized.
Ooops! Premium Member over 14 years ago
I keep thinking that the new cohorts of she-who-must-not-be-named are her or know her. Somehow I usually picture 13 year old boys. Wow! did I get a reaction from asking about multiple identities.
GROG Premium Member over 14 years ago
LuvH, I know of one person who did reveal himself to me. I am certain there are others. I do know that there are no exact duplicate handles.
COWBOY7 over 14 years ago

cleokaya over 14 years ago

Smiley Rmom over 14 years ago
LuvH8 - If I didn’t cook for my sons, they just fill up on chips and crackers. I used to be able to speed walk, but that isn’t as easy as it used to be. Thankfully, neither place was crowded, so pretty quick.

Turkeys CAN fly - at least the wild ones can. We have one that visits regularly and flies into the trees.
