It’s probably good that we have an Easter each year, that there is a season for it. But, is it only there because it’s part of the season, not an event unto itself? Does it mark, perhaps, a turning point in our lives that awakens us to the victory in bearing one’s cross in life? Surely, it’s not just a date on the calendar. Let this Easter reign in your lives, and forever.
Today the panel itself is an excellent choice. The cycle it depicts is one my sweet blue-eyed girl and I have shared for over 62 years. We appreciate every one.
And yet, even on this day, there appear angry, bitter comments related to the words of a song. That also is as normal as the season depicted. Rarely a day or comment passes without anger and unhappiness.
We cannot change the seasons and we are thankful for that. I believe, with a lot of effort, we could change the rhetoric and the bitterness that springs from it. Hope so.
Prayers for the fallen, the afflicted, the wounded, the poor, and their families.
The Count, Countess, Lulu the Wonder Cat Who Came in from the Cold and Stayed and Our Dearest Ann❤️Eiffel wish you all a Blessed Easter Sunday and if you are not Christian, The Count hopes you share in the Joys of our Blessed Holy Day.
I’m a little surprised nobody mentioned the fact that the Biden White house is trying to erase religion from Easter and has even proclaimed it as transgender visibility day or something like that.
With all the comments back and forth I was surprised that no one (that I saw) commented on why Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes. He was rich, married many women from multiple cultures and was throughly into the things of the world. He wrote Ecc. to talk about the futility (vanity, all is vanity) of seeking riches, sex, power, etc. There was a time for all things in the world, but they didn’t lead to fulfillment ultimately. Many parts of the Bible are descriptive without being prescriptive. Ecclesiastes is a prime example.

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose, under heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together
To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing
To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late.

Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday.

A typical day in Bonnie Scotland. Yesterday we had thunder, lightning, bouncing rain, what sounded like hail, a power cut and then back to sunshine.

THEY got that from Ecclesiastes. And when I was young I first heard it on the radio.

The chapter starts off with “There is nothing new under the sun.”
And for those of us of a particular religious belief: Everything is new with the son.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it. Happy Sunday to the rest of you.

Nice sentiment, but the creepy mountain with eyes in the first two panels makes it weird.
