Not sure what to make of this one, other than it is superbly drawn, as usual. I think there may be a bit of emotional autobiography here. Gwen, so glad to see such a lovely, and happy, strip.
Maybe the idea is that it’s learning to look at the world around us “with new eyes” & not let ourselves become jaded by the idea “it’s all the same, nothing ever changes”? Because the only thing that never changes, is the fact that everything changes! Good work, Gwen!!! (And, so very happy you are delighting us with your superb commentary on the forgotten, side-lined, neglected, just plain ol’ hurting peoples of this craaazy world we live in!!!)
As Possum walks forth, the dotted images, the images, the illusionary outlines, all slowly disappear, bit by bit, piece by piece, until, in the last panel, a beautiful, solidly defined world springs forth in full colour.

A walk is not always necessary. I’m lucky to live in a forest, where I can just “look out of my window, see the world passing by…”

I love the last frame, how it expands the view beyond previous limits . . .

Possum seems to be an excellent “flaneur”. We can all benefit from his advice.

I love everything about this strip – the lovely spring colors, the blooming trees, and Opossum’s enjoyment of a simple walk.
Thank you for the lovely world you create.

Nicely done. I walk the dog the same route four times daily, but there is always something new to see.
