Okay, I’m doing another tad comment. I went to my brother Joe’s house in Cambria yesterday. His daughter, Rachel is still visiting there and our sister, Mary was there, too. It’s about 59 miles to Joe’s house. I had never driven there before and I’m really good at getting lost, so I was so glad that I finally figured out how to use the GPS feature on my phone to have it talk to me, giving directions how to get there. On the way to Cambria, I saw 2 cranes out in a farm field. On the way home, I saw 2 turkeys crossing the road – far enough ahead of me so they were in no danger of me hitting them. But I slowed down in case more were coming. And off to my left, there was a pretty big flock of turkeys. No way I could count them since I was driving and they were pretty spread out. Further in my travels, there were 2 geese standing in the road, completely ignoring me. I had to come to a dead stop and sit there for a few seconds until they decided to move out of the way. Which they did at a very leisurely pace. I see geese a lot flying overhead, and even standing by the side of the road, but I never had them force me to stop before. There were a bunch more geese in a pond or whatever it was right by where these two geese were. A big day for birds yesterday! Several robins and a downy woodpecker in my yard before I left for Cambria, too.
Glad to see Chez back to his old self. Driving 1 1/2 hours south to a bigger town to shop at Walmart and other big stores I normally hate going in, but the savings instead of shopping in Bishop more than pay for my gas. The bonus will be wildflowers blooming everywhere as it’s a lower elevation, thus warmer.
I petted my neighbor’s dog the other day & thought to myself "Oliver is going to have a a fit!! " (Thankfully he didn’t even smell the dog on me .So I was safe .)
When our daughter’s house cleaner comes our daughter comes over to our house she brings the family dog because he doesn’t like unfamiliar humans. Normally we make sure our cat is upstairs and put up a baby gate on the stairs. The last time the cat managed to fool us and hide under an end table in the living room. The dog went nuts when he found her. Fortunately she managed to escape unharmed and wasn’t permanently traumatized. The dog is a cockapoo, very aggressive, particularly in defense of our daughter.
Looks like Chesney got out of the wall. He’s back and more obnoxious than ever. Of course he’d accuse Annie of petting a dog. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) On another note, saw three juncos, a spotted towhee, two ducks, a nuthatch and a robin while out walking today.

I see Ches wiggled out of his previous dilemma and is back to causing trouble.
It’s nice to see Annie again.

OK Who popped the Orange Menace outta the wall? And the first thing he does is insult and insinuate. Wait, Annie petted a, horrors, dog?

Son-in-law is resting comfortably, still in the hospital. 5 or 6 bags of fluids does help. More tests tomorrow.

I don’t suppose my cats would approve if they smelled dogs on me either!
