Probably the most cordial she’ll ever be was right there introducing herself to Charlie Brown.

In the last panel Snoopy is looking to us for help. You’re on your own, pal… this one scares me.

Ah, so this is the infamous Molly Volley.

Probably goes without saying, but this is the first appearance of Molly Volley (May 9, 1977).

Much like Snoopy in the first frame, my dogs hide behind/under me like that when they’re frightened…

One more day until a momentous anniversary. Too bad Schroeder won’t be appearing…

At least she’s smarter than Patty. She recognizes Snoopy as being a dog, unlike Patty who thought he was just that little kid who played shortstop.

Let’s hope Snoopy can at least outrun her.

Wow, her scowl is even more ferocious than Thibault’s.

I occasionally played people like that in tournaments and always wondered why they didn’t take up some other pastime if tennis made them so unhappy.

Now that you mention it, it is kind of ridiculous. I always appreciate when stories like this introduce a character who calls out the absurdity of their world’s internal consistency.

Annnnnd … what is this stereotype based on ??? Hmmm, hi jinks to ensue for sure ;-)
