Wait… If Verne is a conformist, and everyone else is a non-conformist, then they are all conforming and thus conformists, and Verne is the only conformist, and thus the only non-conformist. Or something like that.

Verne may not be wacky, but he is quirky (in his own way).

Everybody repeat after me: “I am an individual.”

Back on the early days of the strip, Verne and RJ had a lot more in common and agreed more often.

There’s that word again: “Think.” What does it mean?

Wait, I thought it was the other way around, with Verne being the non-conformist and everyone else being conformists.

I found in years of teaching (and being a student) that most non-conformists adhere to strict guidelines for their non-conformity and get all kinds of crap from other non-conformists if they don’t.

Few non-conformists non-conform in the same manner. That’s what makes it such an interesting and annoying world.

Verne is unique in his own way. Which is as it should be.
