I find it interesting these days that many stores use “chubby” mannequins. And these are not for plus-size-figure stores. Also, did you see a heavy set (ok, obese), beauty contestant just won the Miss Alabama contest with slim opponents? I think obesity is becoming very normalized. Which, in a way, is fine if it’s only in terms of appearance. HOWEVER, once you are more than a few pounds overweight (think 20+), you run health risks like high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis and can up your risk for some cancers. Look at all these crazy commercials lately for diabetes meds. Chubby folks singing and dancing and telling you that they have Type 2 diabetes but they manage it well…with a little pill that has a story to tell. I’m sure you’ve all seen this. Obesity should not be normalized like having wrinkles on your face.

Burping always brings laughs. A cat burping would be really fun.

Funny we don’t hear much about obesity lately. In this economy, EVERYONE is having to tighten their belt!
