We watched the result of this while canoeing yesterday where Canada geese are pairing up and nesting. Two pairs were fighting. First the male (we assume) attacked the male, then moments later the female attacked the female. The battle was going on when we first passed; and it continued with increased vigour when we returned after a stop for lunch.

People don’t leave old, dead trees standing around anymore. Holes in those made great bird housing.
