The first problem with flying vehicles (after building them) is two additional directions for collisions. Currently we have left, right, front and back, and flying adds up and down.
Aw, come on, all you naysayers in the comments. Flying cars sounds like a great way for entire segments of the population to take themselves out of the gene pool.
