Jon is not really wrong. All things considered.

List one thing Jon did pretty well in life

He has the greatest cat that he could ever hope for. But other than that, not so much.

He has a job, a house, a car, can afford lots of groceries and take out, is in love with a good woman who loves him back and has a great cat and dog.

Face it, Arbuckle is doing better than most people.

Well… they’re living in a house and not on the street. Garfield’s living on a steady diet of lasagna and not looking for scraps in garbage cans (unless he wants to) or begging from strangers. So… yeah. I’d say they’re living quite well. Garfield has no right to complain.

He’s done nothing.

Well he doing very well than many others on this planet.

I wonder if this is a subtle jab to Garfield: His 9 Lives.

Jon has indeed done well in life. Garfield eats his lasagna, Garfield takes a good laugh at him, sometimes Garfield wakes him up and so on and so forth. Those are things that Jon has done well in life.

Gotta admit for a dweeb like him to be able to hand out with Liz and those lips says something.

Well, Jon’s never been convicted in the New York Supreme Court so that’s in his favour ;-)

I mean, he works from home and has a successful girlfriend so he’s definitely doing something right

You got Liz to tolerate you. You must be doing something right.

Sure Garfield is doing well in life, but what about Jon? Other than having a job as a cartoonist and presumably making enough money, as well as having Liz as a girlfriend, he often fails at life.
