I was the only Mac user in Starbucks recently. You cannot believe the stares. Finally one guy walked over to me saying “Man, you are da*n lucky you have a Mac. My da*n PC battery life is nothing compared to yours. What do you get, 4 hours?”“I get about 8 if I am not on the web, 7 if I am.”
He walked away muttering something inaudiable and all the stares went away.
Suspect they were stares of desire more than hostile stares I was not in the crowd.
I have a Toshiba Windows PC it is about 11 years old now, with a retina display. Weighs 900 grams and still lasts about six hours, used to last eight. Pity they folded not long after.
The Bride begged for a Windows computer because that’s what she had used for work. I’d be happily using my Mac when she’d come in to the office. “Why is it doing this? Why won’t it do what I want?”
Finally I told her she was getting a Mac whether she liked it or now. Now mornings are quiet and peaceful. And productive.
Interesting that she called it an “Apple” and not a “Mac”. The two were really substantially different, and anyone who ever used either would know that.
back then, apple was still the first choice for visual artists and musicians. Adobe was originally built to be Mac friendly. Much later, Dell gifted my son ( a musician) a top of the line laptop if he would use it and send his opinion. He liked it and now uses both platforms in his work. Dell wanted to convince creatives that Dell was as good as apple,
Let’s just get real here. PCs and Apple computers are both fine, capable machines. The problem is, you pay a 50% premium for equivalent capabilities on an Apple computer.

“In a sea of PCs, be a Mac.”

Soon, very soon, you’ll send your kid’s AI laptop to computer camp while the kid stays home.

I’ve always found Apple users to be the arrogant ones.

Our family is happily MS free. Have a combination of Linux, Android, and Mac devices.

Back then few serious developers used Apple. It was used a lot for music though.

It’s usually the other way around. The Apple vs. PC feud is rivaled only by the Pepsi vs. Coca-Cola one.

We’ve moved on from such petty arguments. It’s iPhone vs. Android these days. :-D

I remember the blowback from fellow Army officers whenever anyone advocate for Macs.
