The rejection of Free Will is just another law pushed on humanity by those who want to control them. IN the secular world it is the elite, the central planners and other such power structures that want us to ignore our reason and ability to make choices. They see to cause despair and ask us to turn off our minds as if nothing really matters. That nihilism is everywhere and is destroying civilization before our eyes.
In the Faith based world, we recognize that God instilled us with free will to allow us to choose from Good and Evil, and Right and Wrong. Satan seeks to deceive us and tell us that evil is good and vice versa and his agents happily sow those seeds. Satan seeks to deceive into thinking our choices don’t matter.
Oh, they matter. Just tell crime victims, aborted babies, drug addicts, kids mutilated in the “Trans movement” and Jews slauightered in the Holocaust that Free Will doesn’t matter.
Tell those who experience the joy of children, producing good in society through charitable acts, business that provide goods and services and Artists producing inspiration to others that Free will doesn’t matter.
Free Will is the basis of our Humanity and is one of the many things that separates us from animals.
On the subject of Rob’s alma mater whose shirt he wears, I have become aware that Lowe’s Home Improvement, the biggest competitor to Home Depot, has a tech hub. So would that make it Lowe Tech?

Satchel could tell Bucky all about trees I’ll bet!

If you’re under the tree when it falls, do you make a crunching sound that anyone could possibly hear?

We don’t have free Will. Will is expensive and has a big shopping habit.

I love the one hand clapping answer. Funnier yet when it’s a paw against a fuzzy body.

We probably don’t have free will, but we seem to have no choice but to believe that we do.

Bucky has answers! Not the right ones, but still…. He could start his own religion. I think he did that…probably more than once.

A falling tree produces sound waves whether there is anyone there to perceive them or not.
However, in a forest, there are always creatures about who can perceive the sound — birds, squirrels, chipmucks, insects, etc.

Outstanding, A+ Bucky burn in the third panel.

Chipmunk is being, then BAM! nothingness. Jean Paul Satre would be proud of Bucky.

Never try to discuss philosophy with a pedantic contrarian.
