If the topic were anything but Congress, I would say he doesnt know what “economize” means. But we all know it’s Congress who doesn’t know what it means.
Why was Johnson in NYC at the traitors trial when his JOB and the reason he gets paid was to be in Washington. Do republicans even have to justify their paycheck? Him and his cronies flew there at tax payers expense and I’m sure they flew in 1st class or business class. No expenses spared cause we’re special!
It will be. They’ll pass another bill to “reduce inflation” so they can blow another trillion or more, and grocery prices will increase 10% overnight, just like the results of the last one. I wonder how many people actually believe you can reduce debt by spending more money than you have?
Every dollar you spend on tax enforcement (IRS agents and auditors and Tax Court judges) brings in a multiple of that amount (I’ve read three times what’s spent) but Congress (or their big donors) don’t want tax laws enforced, at least not on the rich or the corporations.

The one thing they always agree on, is to take more of our money.

With Congress, the cost is always prohibitive.

I know how to save a bunch of money. Let’s pass a law eliminating the Republican and Democratic parties.

In congress, the side-step is used when they decide to ‘waltz around the question.’ They just never stop dancing.

Hey, dude from FL, sit down and shut TFU. Your gaslighting is too transparent. Don’t insult our intelligence, please.

I’m all for congress taking steps too, Specifically 13 of them; up to a platform with a trap door

Taking a step on anything, in any direction, will cost you. Er, us. The US.
