Sometime in the 70’s we adopted a dog that had been hit by a car. among other injuries, his tail was run over and broken near the tip, but still attached. Dad optioned to keep the tail, as it wasn’t painful and still functioned. One day about 5 yrs later while wagging, the end flew off and scared us kids. Blackie just kept playing like nothing happened.
