I know it’s just a comic strip, but I thought it’d be fun to guess ages and birth years. Guessing that Cynthia is about 10, that would have her born in 2014. Guessing that Barney was between 30 and 35 when she was born, that would put his birth year at between 1979-1984. Another 30 back for Eb (and guessing he wouldn’t wait quite as long as Barney) that would put him and between 1949 and 1954. So great-gramma’s was kind of unique for the 50s.
Speaking of made-up names, I had a “Visible Head” that I put a Cardinal Cap on. I called him Oglethorpe Hangbelly Liverlip Bulgebottom, the Die-Hard Cardinal Fan… ☠

So now I wonder if Grandpa was in the pharmacy business and if they made compounds, and that’s how Barney got his start.
