Wow Wallace. Calvin had Hobbes cut his hair once, and THAT was a bad idea, but this? Yikes.

Back in the 80s we used elmer’s glue to spike our hair (especially mohawks). It’s water soluble and come out while showering.

It’s a wonder Mrs. Macintosh’s hair isn’t grey by now!

Stirling alone would do that.

I wonder if OSHA would recognize this as a safety hard hat. Or a bicycle helmet.

Did he wear gloves to put the glue in his hair? Must have or his hands would be all stuck and stiff too. Mom is going to have his head shaved. Can you imagine?

Wallace did it while Mom wasn’t looking. Can you imagine Amelia doing that to Spud’s hair…only with superglue or cement? :P

As a middle school teacher we fought kids wearing hats in school for years. Often we’d let them wear them as a reward, or a fund raiser.

Finally we just gave up. Not long after Covid. It seemed ridiculous to keep stressing the kids, and ourselves, out over something so ridiculous as a hat. Especially since they’ve grown up seeing every male in their family wear a ballcap 24 hours a day.

Bigger things to worry about than hats in school.
