Oh yeah, absolutely. That’s what happens. I’ve seen it.

I actually had a classmate turn in homework that had been chewed on. When I asked him if his dog ate it, he said that was exactly what happened

Really? Because I can believe.

Many years ago, when I was teaching, I had an Irish Wolfhound puppy. One day in front of class I announced “you’re not going to believe this, but MY dog ate YOUR homework”. Everybody got full credit.
