You have marbles, but you can be bananas, or nuts, or a fruitcake, or…..cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs!

I’m thinking of the use of that line in the movie Hook.

D: Oh…well…actually..

M: And what about my sense of optimism? Lately I’ve lost that too.

D: Well I’m afraid I’ve neither of those things…

M: Oh boy…now I’ve lost my patience. I don’t suppose you’ve found that either?

D: Well…no…

M:That’s just great! Now I’ve lost my temper! So unless you’ve found that, I’ll be off now, you incompetent oaf! Good day!!

D: P-please! Hasn’t anybody lost anything tangible?!

(final panel) Opus: Excuse me. I’ve lost my marbles.

It stuck with me, memorable.

Just like the line in the movie Hook by Tootle: “I’ve lost my marbles.”
