She must have had a lot more slide shows than I did.

Is a slide show that car tire smoking side-ways drifting race?

Are slide shows called power point presentations now?

Always loved it when we saw the teacher bring out the projector. Almost as much as having a sub.

Haven’t they shown that early classes are particularly hard on teenagers?

I remember the happy anticipation of walking into class and seeing a reel-to-reel or even an overhead projector set up in the middle of the room.

Our biology teacher would show slides of his summer hikes and fishing in the Sierra’s, which were amazing. The whole class loved them. Since he was also gorgeous, not a single girl fell asleep during snything he showed in class lol

They’re so the teacher can take a break…

In college I worked from 10pm to 2am. Slide shows were a blessing

How many people remember film strips? I was the nerd that always volunteered to run the projector in 6th grade.

I had a teacher who always called film strips “strip films”. They never were, but THAT would have kept us awake!

Slide shows are when the teacher can nap too!

Do they still have film strips?

I remember only once, in high school, when one student fell asleep during the class. When the class was over, everyone snuck out quietly and left her all alone. I never heard the outcome, or how long it was before she woke up in the empty room. This was a late afternoon class, I might add.

Education without the teacher having to teach anything.

So what’s study hall for then?

And school assemblies?
