It’s getting to be about time to sell Poncho to a Chinese restaurant.

I appreciate Paul Gilligan’s previous experiences with sci-fi illustration. The way he uses it to morph Poncho into a multitude of creatures is quite entertaining.

Adding to the “conversation” about cats and dogs: who are we to denigrate what other cultures eat? People adapted their taste buds to what was available in their territories at the time.

Only in Western countries do we have “factory meat farms”. In other countries all over the world people still forage and eat what is in their environement. That’s why, even today, in those countries meat is a speciality, eaten maybe once a month or once a week, depending on one’s wealth.

We went to a restaurant in Kobe Japan. They only served one or two groups at a time. Every course was very fancy and prepared in front of us. The meals were $75, $100, and on up.

Boneless Kobe ribeye may be a more expensive cut than bone-in ribeye, but being a dog Poncho might have preferred to have the bone as well.
