I have been having the same problem with my toilet.

My wife is hard of hearing. She misses some sounds. She finally has her phone on vibrate and keeps it in her lap. So now I can get her attention by texting.

Poor Brutus. Now he has two choices: go on a diet or fix the stairs.

The stairs are too afraid to make sounds when Mother Gargle walks down them, she might have a wisecrack remark aimed at them.

And perhaps they’re both going deaf.

Brutus will wait until he breaks through a step before dealing with it and go on a diet.

One of the toilet seats in the men’s stalls at work keeps splitting. Clearly either they’re buying the wrong seat, or we have some heavy gent that lands a bit harder than he should

Good shot by Gargoyle. However both should have noticed as they are pretty close if not even a little heavier than Brutus. Must be their hearing going bad. Usually not a serious problem….

Maybe it’s not the stairs, could be your joints. I have ceramic tiles throughout my house, and some of them are loose. Sometimes I step on them and they make a pronounced crack. It’s like the old Memorex commercials, was that tile or my joint.
