guess Wanda loves her parents too much to let the kids stay with them for a couple weeks

Good idea, give them something to do!

That was a long drive for just staying to visit for one day. Hey Wanda, camp for Hammy would be a great summer vacation for the whole family for a month.

I’m going to predict that next week will be reruns. Baby Blues always has reruns around this time in June.

Zoe and Hammie are plotting ways to smuggle the pool home with them.

leave them with the grandparents for a couple of weeks

The kids will be begging for a pool on the long drive home lol

Gee, we didn’t get to see Grandma in her bikini and Grandpa in his Speedo join the kids in the pool.

Wanda, you could leave the kids for a week or two with Grandma and Grandpa, and then come back and pick them up>

How about YOU and the kids stay on and Darryl goes back to work? I’m sure he’d enjoy a little break and your mother would enjoy seeing a lot more of you.

Bored during summer??

Back in my school days when they let out at the end of May it was fun, fun, fun until they hauled us back in in September. Then I had to grow up, get a job and ruin everything.

“I’m bored” is a phrase that I made the mistake of saying to my parents once, and only once.

That’s ridiculous!

Kirkman and Scott had a fertile ground for a month’s worth of strips with this vacation, and it would have been just “later the same day” in comic strip time… They had more strips with the drive there than showing the visit. For shame!!!

The never covered:

1. grandma’s cooking and baking and which was better or worse: mom’s or grandma’s and the kids reaction to it. (1 week)

2. didn’t use the “pull my finger” joke with the grandpa. (1 week)

3. din’t show a competition bbq between Darryl and grandpa and ensuing hilarity. (1 week)

4. what about’s Wren’s diaper exploding in the pool and ensuing hilarity fromt the kids. etc.

5. and so on and so on…

Seems mom does not think of kids camp. In town there are places has kids fun time.

That was a very short trip.

It is hard to properly complain about being bored when there are people ready to say, “Oh, here’s some good work for you to do instead.”

that’s way to short of a vacation. :-(

The bears and raccoons have gotten up a petition to keep Hammie out of the woods

They sure spent a lot of time building up to a visit that was over quickly. Did Rick and Jerry suddenly realize they don’t have any material for these characters?
