I was thinking Andy left the review to try and get free drinks… but naah – he wouldn’t go to that much technological effort

That’s only because the Manchester Rose and Crown has Herman’s Hermits and Freddy and the Dreamers for house bands rather than Guitar Bob.

Dogs barking “Jingle Bells” have more musical talent than Guitar Bob!

In fact, so do dogs barking, period…..

Guitar Bob gets not respect for his talent or lack thereof. And Andy may be his greatest critic. But GB gets paid to howl and pluck and even gets free beer from customers and that gets Andy’s goat. Free beer! Now if Guitar Bob slid one of those pints over to Andy on the QT. Friends for life. Un Huh. We had a Colonel Roberts back in my Air Force days. Pain in the rear joint. We called him Sweet Ole Bob. He thought it meant endearing camaraderie term. (SOB – Sweet ole Bob)

Don’t worry guys, this might not be the best place, but it’s your place.

The Rose & Crown seems to be a common name for a pub. As far as I know they are not a franchise.

It has been mentioned before that there is a pub next to a university and the pub is called “ The Library “. Very handy when a parent phones and someone else answers the phone and says “ oh, he’s at the library. “
