I love archery but it has one problem.

I was in an archery class…

…and the instructor was talking about the longbow. As he was going on about how it could be used by both right handed and left handed archers with no difficulty, I piped up and said “So it’s am-bow-dextrious?”

I was gonna try out archery.

But there’s too many drawbacks.

long ago my dad was into archery including fletching his own arrows. He tried out a helical fletch and went out to my grandma’s farm and shot it straight up in the middle of a field. we couldn’t follow it and gave it up for lost. when we got back to grandma’s house there it was, stuck in the roof. that ended that experiment, luckily it didn’t hit anyone but he had to repair the hole in the roof.

Well that explains the “Royal Air Force roundels” on aircraft.

This is really good for the Idiot archers. If they miss the shields, they hit the Huns.

But what if Rodney and his archers knew that one of the enemy forces was scouting them? They could have been putting on a fake demonstration of incompetence, just to fool the enemy.

On second thought, these are Id troops under Rodney’s command. As Emily Litella (the late, great Gilda Radner, of course) used to say, “Never mind.”

FYI, you fire or shoot a gun, rifle or cannon. You “loose” an arrow.

We tried archery in high school gym class. On the last day, with my last arrow, I hit the target. Not the bullseye, just the target. I would have felt right at home in Rodney’s outfit.

That was Rodney’s mistake. He should’ve gone to the regular archery range.
