Growing up, I had a friend from a rather wealthy family—huge house in a country setting, and the kids favorite hobby was digging bunkers—with an “s”, out in the field by the edge of the lawn—deep suckers too. Of course, we were small, so maybe not that big and surly filled in by now.
if i’d known agnes was so interested in digging holes i’d have enlisted her to help with my current project, getting rid of the buried rocks in our veggie patches. i bought a replacement rotary for the tiller last year and the very first day i used it ran into a hidden rock, which instantly bent the new attachment out of shape… ☺
